Cody Drameh’s first words as Hull City confirm second summer signin
Drameh has officially joined the club from Leeds United
Hull City have confirmed their second signing of the summer, with Cody Drameh joining the club from Leeds United on a three-year deal with an option to extend his stay a further year.
The 22-year-old has made the move to the MKM Stadium after rejecting a new deal at Elland Road as he believed a move to City was in the best interests of his development. City will have to pay Leeds a nominal fee, as a result, after beating off competition to secure the defender’s signature.
He is the club’s second arrival of the summer following the permanent signing of Ryan Giles from Luton Town and he will add competition to the defensive ranks, given he can play right across the back four.
Right-back is the former England youth international’s strongest position and he is keen to kick on and get some stability with the Tigers after successful loan spells with Cardiff City, Luton Town and Birmingham City.
“I’m really happy to be here. It feels like it’s been coming for a bit of time for me,” Drameh sai.d
“What attracted me was the owner and the interest the club showed in me. Everyone seemed like they really wanted me. It’s a pleasure to feel wanted and that was something that attracted me.
