Club offered Sheffield United player via agents – €20m would get deal done
According to a claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are showing interest in Sheffield United midfielder Gustavo Hamer.
The 27-year-old could leave Bramhall Lane this summer after the Blades were relegated back to the Championship.
GS Gazete have reported on Galatasaray’s pursuit of the Brazilian born midfielder and they say the player has been offered to them via agents.
The Turkish champions have made it one of their priorities to sign a central midfielder this summer after they didn’t take up the option to keep hold of Tanguy Ndombele.
Cimbom have been linked with a number of British based midfielders in recent weeks but have been unsuccessful in convincing the likes of Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Scott McTominay
It’s claimed Galatasaray are closely monitoring the situation with Hamer and that they know he wants to leave Sheffield United. Due to their relegation from the Premier League, it’s reported this has triggered a €20m release clause for the player.
Hamer made 38 appearances for the English side last season, scoring five goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2027.
