Jacob Ramsey slammed as Tottenham and Aston Villa close in on player-plus-cash transfer
John Wenham does not believe Jacob Ramsey is good enough to play for Tottenham.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose would rather the club focus on one of their other long-term targets, such as Pedro Neto.
As reported by TyC Sports via X (19 July), Spurs are closing in on a deal with Aston Villa which would see the North London club pay £19million plus Lo Celso for Ramsey.
However, Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – isn’t keen to see the deal get across the line.
“I’m not sold on Ramsey at all, to be honest with you,” Wenham said.
“I’d much rather we went out and signed a player like Neto, someone exciting. I don’t see Ramsey being better than anyone we’ve already got at the club.
“I’d much rather see someone else signed. However, the club obviously want him, and Johan Lange must know something from his time at Villa.
