Rhys Hoskins’ eighth-inning home run propels Milwaukee Brewers past Minnesota Twins, 8-7

With the score tied 5-5, Hoskins hit his 15th home run of the season off Twins reliever Griffin Jax to left field. A fan caught the ball over the railing before Minnesota left fielder Austin Martin could make a play. The call was confirmed after a review since the fan did not reach into the field of play.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy praised Hoskins for his mental toughness and clutch hits. “Every hit he gets seems to be a big one,” Murphy said.
Eric Haase added two solo home runs for Milwaukee, marking his sixth career multi-homer game. Chourio hit a game-tying home run to lead off the seventh inning, shortly after making a leaping catch at the wall in foul territory in the sixth.
When asked whether he preferred his defensive play or his 443-foot home run, Chourio said through a translator, “Hitting homers is one of my favorite things to do, so I have to choose the homer.”
Minnesota threatened in the eighth inning by loading the bases with no outs but failed to score against Brewers reliever Elvis Peguero.
