Everton could still sign two wingers in summer transfer window
Alan Myers thinks it is possible that Everton will still sign two new wingers this summer.
The Sky Sports journalist was responding to questions about links to Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto and Napoli attacker Jesper Lindstrom in a thread on X on Saturday (20 July).
Jack Harrison returned to the club on loan from Leeds United already this window but Dwight McNeil remains the club’s only other senior option out wide – albeit Ashley Young go further forward if need be.
Asked if it was possible two wide players arrive together this window, Myers replied: “I think so.”
Everton could sign two long-term targets this summer
Everton have already been undergoing some change this summer with the arrivals of players such as Iliman Ndiaye.
Last season was fairly tough for the toffees as they suffered a total of eight points deducted for two separate breaches of PSR rules.
Thanks to some smart player sales before the end of the 2023/24 deadline, however, they shouldn’t meet the same fate this season.
One long-term target Everton have been reported to be interested is that of Gnonto. The Leeds United attacker tried to force his way out of the club last summer but nothing ever came to fruition.
