The Atlanta Braves may be on All-Star Break, but the Florida Complex League is still in full swing. Right-hander Huascar Ynoa made a rehab start with the FCL Braves on Tuesday. He tossed two innings, allowing one run on two hits.
26-year-old Ynoa missed the entire 2023 season after Tommy John surgery and had three outings in Triple-A this year before a right elbow injury in April put him back on the injured list.
It’s not likely that Ynoa will pitch in the bigs this season, but it is a step in the right direction that he is participating at some level.
On the final day of the MLB Draft, the Braves selected Patrick Clohisy, Cayman Goode, Colby Jones, Mason Guerra, Owen Carey, Titus Dumitru, Jacob Shafer, Jake Steels, Dalton McIntyre, and Eric Hartman.
Comcast and Diamond Sports Group have been in talks, and Bally Sports may return to Xfinity customers.
The Braves have a ridiculously good pitching staff, but the offense has to step it up if the team wants a shot at October baseball.
After the Braves outrighted him to Triple-A Gwinnett earlier this week, Brian Anderson elected free agency.
