Timeline on Aston Villa, Hull City deal revealed

Jaden Philogene’s move from Hull City to Aston Villa is said be in its final stages, and is expected to be finalised today.

That’s according to Jacob Tanswell of The Athletic, who has reported that the winger is at the Premier League side’s training ground this morning to complete a medical, ahead of a reported £12.6 million move.

In what has been one of the EFL transfer sagas of the summer, Philogene looks set to return to former club Villa, having been strongly linked with a move to Ipswich Town in recent weeks.

Fellow top flight side Everton and La Liga giants Barcelona were also said to be keen on the England under-21 international earlier in the summer, before a five-year deal with Unai Emery’s side was struck.
