PL club re-open talks with Tottenham Hotspur over the future of ‘brave and inspirational’ ex-wonderkid who has been through injury hell
Everton re-open talks with Tottenham Hotspur to look over the terms of the Dele Alli transfer
According to Liverpool Echo, Everton are set to re-open talks with Tottenham Hotspur to modify the terms of the transfer that took Dele Alli to Merseyside.
Once tipped for super-stardom, Alli’s career has been a free fall for a few seasons now with his performances being a pale shadow of the player who broke through as a teenager at Tottenham and created quite the impact.
To put it into perspective, when Alli was breaking through at Spurs, he had an aura surrounding him that is quite similar to the one Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham has at the moment. Under Mauricio Pochettino, he was one of the best players in the Tottenham team.
Ever since Jose Mourinho took over at Spurs though, the 28-year-old’s career has only spiralled southwards. Eventually, Tottenham made the hard decision to part ways with the player, letting him leave for Everton.
