Green Bay Packers: Wide Receivers Snubbed Of NFL Analyst’s Rankings
The Green Bay Packers wide receiver core is going to be a major battle in training camp. The battle won’t be for a roster spot, but it will be more about playtime. Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Romeo Doubs will start training camp as the top wide receivers on the roster, but Dontayvion Wicks and Bo Melton will also want to prove they belong on the field.
Green Bay at some point will need to figure out who will become the top receiver in this offense eventually. Many thought it was going to be Christian Watson, but injuries sidelined him for half of last season. Watson will be entering his third NFL season and he will need to stay on the field.
Some think Jayden Reed will be the best, some think Romeo Doubs will be the best, and some even think that Dontayvion Wicks will be the best at some point. Christian Watson will also look to be the top receiver in this offense this season.
The Green Bay Packers were rumored various times this offseason to either land a true number-one wide receiver or trade one of the wide receivers on the current roster. For now, Green Bay will ride with the receivers they have.
