Speaking exclusively to Hull Live at the Tigers’ training camp in Turkey, new boss Tim Walter has called for patience from supporters over the club’s transfer dealings

Tim Walter says he’s relaxed about the club’s transfer position as he awaits new arrivals ahead of the Championship campaign which gets underway in just over a month’s time.

City have so far signed just one player since Walter replaced Liam Rosenior at the end of May, with Ryan Giles coming in from Luton Town, but there remains doubt about his long-term future amid strong interest from Middlesbrough.

The Tigers are hoping to sign striker Kieffer Moore from Bournemouth and are closing in on an experienced Championship defender, as well as trying to do a deal with West Brom ace Okay Yokuslu, amongst others.

Owner Acun Ilicali told Hull Live the club want to sign ‘eight or nine players’ this summer to leave Walter with a tighter squad. Walter admits making new additions is crucial, but he won’t rush into signing players he doesn’t think will fit into his system.

And while there’s a sense of panic among some fans about the imminent departures of Jacob Greaves and Jaden Philogene, Walter says he remains calm and relaxed, preferring to focus on the players he has at his disposal.
