During the 2023-24 campaign, Stanley found himself battling to stay in the lineup. Though he was never sent down to the minors, the 26-year-old was a healthy scratch for much of the season, only playing 25 games during the regular season, scoring a goal and an assist, while registering a plus/minus of +4. Stanley played three of the Jets’ five games in their opening-round series against the Colorado Avalanche, posting an assist and a -1 rating.

Stanley has been with the Jets, the team that selected him 18th overall in the 2016 NHL Draft, since 2018. After a couple of seasons with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, he has been up with the big clubs consistently over the past four seasons. In 139 NHL games, the former Kitchener Rangers captain has scored four goals and 18 assists with a +17 rating. Stanley has also registered four points and a +4 in 12 playoff games.
