The Tigers have signed 12 new recruits amid a busy summer of activity
Hull City have announced a raft of new signings that will link up with the club’s academy ahead of the new season, including former Liverpool, Tottenham and Sunderland youngsters.
Hull Live revealed last week that ex-Anfield youngster and son of former Everton defender Phil, Zac Jagielka, had been given the chance to impress with City’s academy taking a closer look at him, while teenage sensation Ramell Carter had arrived from North London and Nigerian youngster Calvin Okike.
Carter and Jagielka along with Cayden Cole, Oskar Gruszkowski, Jake Hopper, Charlie Leach, Rory Leech, Alfie Maskell, Josh Ocaya, Calvin Okike, Reuben Silk, Jack Topley, have all penned two-year deals at the MKM Stadium and will feature as part of the travelling party in Turkey over the next 10 days, along with Conor Sellars’ Under-21s.
“I am really excited to have the new batch of lads coming in. It is going to be a different dynamic,” Under-18s chief Chad Gribble said. “There are lads coming from other football clubs that have decided to come on board with us, some of whom had multiple offers and we are delighted they have come on board with our programme. That speaks volume for the way the academy is progressing that we can attract players coming out of massive football clubs and they want to be a part of what we are doing.
