Insider Claims Justin Fields’ Agent is Playing Role in Steelers QB Battle
We are in the final stretch of the offseason. Training camp is set to kick off all around the league later this month as we get closer to the start of the 2024 campaign.
A lot of new faces will be wearing new uniforms and Justin Fields will be one of them. Back in March, the Bears shipped out Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers in exchange for a 2025 sixth-round pick that can increase to a fourth-rounder based on playing time.
The Bears will have Caleb Williams, the 2024 first overall pick, as their new QB1. Meanwhile, Fields is going to battle against Russell Wilson for the starting job. Well, that’s what we thought until the latest report emerged on his agent playing a key role in that competition.
Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette was a guest on the “93.7 The Fan’s Joe Starkey Show”. There he discussed how Fields’ agent is playing a factor in the QB battle when it comes to the national media.
Although Fields is still only 25 years old, he has struggled thus far in his career to cement himself as a franchise quarterback.
