Maidstone’s latest signing has set his sights on winning National League South – after experiencing play-off glory last season.
Striker Aaron Blair scored 15 goals as Braintree won promotion to the National League.
The Iron finished fifth, one place below the Stones, before extra-time victories over Bath, Chelmsford and Worthing in the play-offs secured a return to non-league’s top flight.
Blair scored the Iron’s second goal in their dramatic 4-3 final win at Worthing, the Rebels having beaten Maidstone in the semis.
The forward, who spent three seasons at Dagenham, intends to take the direct route to the National League with United.
“I want to win it this time,” Blair told Stones TV.
“I know promotion was good and going through the play-offs but I want to win it.
“I know my team-mates, when I meet them, they’re on the same wavelength as me.
“I’ve spoken to George (Elokobi, manager) and I know that’s his aspirations as well.
“My aspirations, my ambitions are aligned with the management team and my team-mates.”
Blair scored 31 goals in 91 appearances for Braintree, joining on loan before signing for an undisclosed fee last October.
