Leicester City give away next transfer with announcement yet to be made
The latest Leicester City transfer news as the club are yet to fully announce Abdul Fatawu’s permanent arrival
Whilst Leicester City supporters await the full announcement of Abdul Fatawu’s permanent transfer, the club’s updated squad list still contains the attacker.
The Ghanaian arrived on loan from Sporting CP ahead of the 2023/24 campaign and went on to register 20 goal contributions in 43 appearances. Once City confirmed their promotion at Deepdale, this activated a €17m (£14.8m) obligation to purchase clause agreed in his initial deal.
Whilst this is a known fact and as of July 1 he officially became a permanent Foxes player, strangely no hint of an official announcement has been given by the club. All of this is the case in spite of the winger being spotted at the King Power Stadium last week.
Now to further fan the flames suggesting he will be the next arrival announced by Leicester, the official men’s first-team squad list on the club’s website also includes Fatawu:
To prove that this isn’t just because he was there last season, the list has actually been recently updated to account for other exits. This includes Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who transferred to Chelsea for £30m at the start of the month, plus those that the Foxes chose not to retain by allowing contracts and loans to elapse.
