Everton have been linked with a move for Yaser Asprilla but what might the player potentially offer the Blues side?
Goodison News cites the Sunday People as reporting Everton have shown an interest in the £15m-rated 3Watford winger this summer and could lodge a bid. The article adds the Blues have held a long-standing interest in the 20-year-old having attempted to sign him late in the January transfer window, though now it is thought to be an easier task with the player having just a year left on his contract at Vicarage Road and potentially available “cheap” to Sean Dyche’s men.
The youngster – who can also operate in central midfield – is no relation to compatriot Faustino Asprilla who made 61 appearances and scored 18 goals for Newcastle United between 1996-98, but he is also a Colombian international and has so far netted twice in six outings for his national side. Born in Bajo Baudo on the country’s Pacific Ocean coast, Asprilla started his career in his homeland with Envigado before moving to England in 2022. He has made 86 appearances for the Hornets and scored seven goals including six in 44 Championship matches last season.
