St. Louis Blues acquire two veterans in separate trade deals
“St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the team has acquired forward Radek Faksa from the Dallas Stars as well as forward Mathieu Joseph and a 2025 third-round pick from the Ottawa Senators, each in exchange for future considerations,” announced the St. Louis Blues Press Release.
The St. Louis Blues have bolstered their roster in two separate deals, adding Mathieu Joseph (RW) and Radek Faksa (C).
Blues GM Doug Armstrong had a relatively quiet day in the opening of free agency yesterday but brings in two players who can significantly contribute to the existing roster.
Joseph spent the better part of the last three seasons with the Ottawa Senators where he recorded his best statistical season in 2023-24, earning 35 points, highlighted by his 24 assists.
Before arriving in Ottawa, he played for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The 27-year-old skater is known throughout the league and is expected to find significant playing time in St. Louis.
Having spent his entire career with the Dallas Stars, Faksa makes his way to St. Louis.
