Since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought Wrexham AFC back in 2020, big-name signings have been a key factor in their tenure.

Their promotion to League One should only further their ability to attract better players and the latest to be linked to them is Millwall’s Tom Bradshaw.

The 31-year-old has been plying his trade at the Den since 2018 and is closing in on 200 appearances for the Lions, but he seems set to move on this summer.

Rivaling Wrexham for his signature will be a host of other clubs, including Cardiff City. Other League One teams may be deterred by these bigger sides offering opportunities for their targets, but not the Red Dragons, who haven’t had a problem with signing high-profile players.

This deal will be dependent on whether Bradshaw wants to continue in the Championship or not. But a drop-down to League One level may help him rediscover the form he has shown in previous campaigns.

Tom Bradshaw has always been one of those players floating between League One and the Championship. His exploits in the third tier speak for themselves, but he has never quite been able to transfer that persistent goalscoring to the division above.

He started his scoring in League One with Shrewsbury Town, where, after a few injury-hit campaigns, he was able to notch seven in 2013-14 despite the club’s relegation.
