Sheffield Wednesday Handed Boost In Pursuit Of £3 Million Target

Sheffield Wednesday have been very active in the transfer window so far and have been handed a boost in relation to their pursuit of Orlando City striker Duncan Maguire, according to reports.

The Owls have already completed five deals since the summer market opened just over two weeks ago. Jamal Lowe, Svante Ingelsson, Ben Hamer and Max Lowe all joined the club on free transfers after their contracts expired with their respective clubs a few days ago, while former Southampton man Yan Valery was signed for an undisclosed fee from French side Angers.

Furthermore, it was reported by Michael Plant of the Manchester World on Monday afternoon that Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on a deal with Manchester United academy product Charlie McNeill despite interest from clubs in the MLS and from Serie A giants Lazio in the young centre-forward.
