Everton have been linked with a potential move for Jaden Philogene but what might the Hull City player offer the Blues side?

The ECHO understands that Everton are interested in the winger who featured 32 times in the Championship last season, scoring 12 and providing six assists as Liam Rosenior’s side narrowly missed out on the play-offs. Everton are now considering whether to join the race for the 22-year-old’s signature after a campaign that caught the eye of scouts from around the Premier League and further afield.

What kind of player is Jaden Richard Philogene-Bidace (to give him his full title) though? Born in Hammersmith, west London, on February 8, 2002, he started off at the Pro:Direct Academy in the capital where he was spotted by Aston Villa.

Developed in the youth ranks at the West Midlands outfit, he attracted attention from Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund and made his senior debut as a last-minute substitute in a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on May 19, 2021. Philogene made six first-team appearances in total for Aston Villa with his final outing being a three-minute cameo in Unai Emery’s side’s 5-1 defeat against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on August 12 last year.
