Taylor Moore undergoing Bristol Rovers medical today after agreement – sources
Bristol Rovers have won the race to sign Taylor Moore after agreeing a deal to sign him on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
The defender is arriving at the League One outfit’s training ground on Wednesday to complete a medical and sign a three-year deal with the club
The timing means that Moore will be available for Bristol Rovers from the start of pre-season, allowing him to hit the ground running at his new club.
Moore had spent last season at Valenciennes in Ligue 2, gaining some European experience as he featured 22 times across all competitions for the French outfit.
Bristol Rovers are securing experience with Moore
While the versatile defender has spent last season in France, he’s typically played in England throughout his career, spanning across the Championship, League One, and League Two.
Moore was under contract with Bristol City from 2016 to last summer, but he spent the bulk of those years on loan at various clubs in England, and a period at Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
With 287 appearances throughout his career across different leagues, the 27-year-old brings vast experience to Bristol Rovers.
Considering only four teams in League One conceded more goals than the Pirates last season, three of which got relegated, boosting the defensive side of the squad was clearly an important task this summer.
