The latest transfer news and gossip concerning Bristol City’s Championship rivals
Bristol City are back at work at the High Performance Centre with testing underway and pre-season beginning properly next week but, outside of Max Bird and Josh Stokes – deals agreed in January – there are no new faces among the Robins squad.
That could be set to change shortly with technical director Brian Tinnion indicating two attacking additions are close to being agreed, while talks continue over the potential signings of Burnley’s Scott Twine and Fally Mayulu of Rapid Vienna.
It’s been a quiet first few weeks of summer but the noise is rising with head coach Liam Manning ideally wanting some new signings before the squad leave for their pre-season training camp in Portugal at the start of July.

Hull put high price on Greaves
Ipswich Town have opened talks with Hull City over the transfer of centre-back Jacob Greaves, report the Athletic, although the clubs seem to be apart in terms of their valuation of the 23-year-old.
Greaves has been a regular for the Tigers over the last four seasons, making 177 appearances, and has become a priority target of Kieran McKenna as they prepare for life in the Premier League but the Tractor Boys are only willing to spend £10 million.
