Everton are expected to announce the signing of Marseille attacker Iliman Ndiaye in July instead of June, according to Alan Myers.
The Sky Sports news editor reported on 26 June that the Toffees are close to signing the 24-year-old Senegal international.
According to the Guardian, the Goodison Park outfit will be shelling out a £17million fee for the former Sheffield United man.
When asked if it will be announced in July, Myers said on Twitter: “Quite possibly.”
Iliman Ndiaye may add a different dimension to the Everton attack
Ndiaye’s imminent arrival could significantly enhance the team’s creativity and goal-scoring ability in the final third.
The 24-year-old, who excelled at Sheffield United, brings versatility and the ability to both score and create goals.
His addition could provide the Toffees with a much-needed spark in attack, potentially transforming how the team operates in the final third.
However, despite Ndiaye’s potential impact, the Toffees may still need to sign another quality striker.
The team have struggled with their goalscoring, and while Ndiaye can contribute, having a dedicated, proven striker could further bolster their attacking prowess.
This additional signing would complement the Senegalese’s skills and ensure a more robust and balanced offensive strategy, crucial for improving the club’s performance in the Premier League.
In other Everton news, the Toffees have made an approach to sign a midfielder at a side that recently won the Champions League.
